Brrr….cancelation exceptions

Feb 5, 2025

I hope this unexpected winter surge is treating you well and keeping you cozy! I wanted to send a quick clarification about my cancellation fee exceptions, especially with snow, ice, and cold/flu season in full swing.

Snow & Ice:

If snow or ice makes it unsafe for you to drive to the salon, I will not charge a last-minute cancellation fee. I live close to the salon, have an AWD vehicle, and grew up driving in snowy conditions—so I’ll likely make it in. But your safety comes first, so please don’t hesitate to reschedule if needed.

Sickness:

I absolutely do not want you to come in if you’re feeling sick, and I won’t charge you for last-minute cancellations due to sudden illness. That said, if you’ve been sick for several days or have been living with someone who’s ill (and you suspect you’re coming down with the same thing), please try to give me as much notice as possible. Last-minute cancellations, especially for long color appointments, make it hard to fill spots and result in lost income. I just ask that you be mindful of this when possible.

Medical Emergencies:

Life happens, and medical emergencies are always an exception—migraines, allergic reactions, seizures, etc. No fees will be charged in these situations.

Review Request

A few newsletters ago, I asked for brief testimonials with casual photos to feature on my website. Many of you have already sent yours—thank you from the bottom of my heart! They truly mean the world to me. If you haven’t had the chance yet, I’d love to hear from you.

As a thank-you, you’ll receive a product gift at your next appointment!

Thank you all for your ongoing support. I’m endlessly grateful for each of you!

With love and gratitude,
